Baseball Game Preview: Rock Island Rocks vs. Moline Maroons

For the second straight game, Rock Island will face off against Moline. The Rocks will be playing in front of their home fans against the Maroons at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Rock Island is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Moline just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Monday. They lost 7-1 to the Maroons. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Rocks have suffered since March 30, 2024.

The win (which was Moline's fifth in a row) raised their record to 14-8. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Rock Island, they now have a losing record of 8-9.
