The home team had won the previous five meetings between North Caroline and Bennett, and North Caroline kept the tradition alive. The Bulldogs narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Clippers 15-12. This was payback for the Bulldogs, who suffered a 27-21 loss the last time these two teams met.
