Basketball Recap: Knowledge Academies Falls Despite Big Games from Travis Campbell and Sylvainus Cole Iv

Knowledge Academies was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 47-42 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lighthouse Christian Lions . Knowledge Academies was not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Lighthouse Christian earlier this season, when they won 59-57.

Knowledge Academies' loss came despite strong showings from Sylvainus Cole Iv and Travis Campbell. Cole Iv posted 16 points, while Campbell scored 15 points. Cole Iv's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

It was another big night for Lucas Haymer, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 21 boards for Lighthouse Christian. Haymer is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: he's pulled down at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Kolby Matthews, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 12 points.

Knowledge Academies' defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Lighthouse Christian, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 11-3.
