Basketball Recap: Christian Heritage Academy Starts Season with Loss at Home

Christian Heritage Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Hiawatha Hawks by a score of 56-53 on Tuesday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it 11 in a row.

Christian Heritage Academy's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caleb Kneezel, who posted 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Charlie Van Tuinen, who earned 13 points.

Hiawatha has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Christian Heritage Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 60-39 victory against Roycemore on the 3rd. As for Hiawatha, they will venture away from home to challenge Christian Life at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
