Basketball Game Preview: St. Anthony Roman Legion vs. Faith Christian Eagles

St. Anthony is 0-4 against Faith Christian since February of 2017 but things could change on Monday. The St. Anthony Roman Legion will take on the Faith Christian Eagles at 6:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

If St. Anthony beats Faith Christian with 66 points on Monday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two matches with that exact score. St. Anthony strolled past Eastbrook Academy with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 66-52. That's two games straight that the Roman Legion have won by exactly 14 points.

St. Anthony found their leader in sophomore Josh Morales, who posted 20 points in addition to seven assists and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Damian Reyes, who put up 18 points and six boards.

Meanwhile, Faith Christian came up short against Tenor on Friday and fell 79-71. The loss was the Eagles' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Faith Christian fell to 2-1. As for St. Anthony, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-7.

St. Anthony couldn't quite finish off Faith Christian when the teams last played back in December of 2024 and fell 33-31. Can St. Anthony avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
