Football Preview: West Potomac Wolverines vs. South County Stallions

The West Potomac Wolverines will head out to face off against the South County Stallions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

West Potomac can attribute much of their success to Marshall LoCascio, who rushed for 62 yards and a pair of scores. Those 62 rushing yards gave LoCascio a new career-high.

A big part of South County's win came down to the chemistry between Dylan Miller and his top target Thomas Powell. Miller threw for 284 yards and two touchdowns while Powell picked up 155 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. A healthy portion of Miller's aerial production (90 yards to be exact) also went to Trevion Campbell.

South County's record is now 5-3. As for West Potomac, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

West Potomac skirted past South County 17-14 in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolverines since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
