The Classical Academy and Falcon are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2014, but not for long. The Classical Academy Titans will face off against the Falcon Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Classical Academy will be strutting in after a victory while Falcon will be coming in after a defeat.
The Classical Academy is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Elizabeth: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that The Classical Academy blew Elizabeth out of the water with a 60-16 final score. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Titans had established a 34 point advantage.

The Classical Academy's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Kelsey Peterson, who shot 4-for-5 from long range and dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 steals, and Emma Megahan, who went 7 of 12 on her way to 18 points. Peterson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jerrica Thompson, who posted three points and six assists.
The Classical Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Falcon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 37-33 heartbreaker at the hands of Durango.
The Classical Academy will have to contain Macey Fothergill as she made an impact in Falcon's last game. She posted seven points and five steals. Cierra Barbary was another key player, putting up two points along with six steals and five boards.
Falcon's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for The Classical Academy, they picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 3-6.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: The Classical Academy has crashing the boards this season, having averaged 26.7 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Falcon struggles in that department as they've been averaging 34.5 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
