Cactus has gone 9-1 against Peoria recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Cobras will look to defend their home court against the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Cactus has seven straight wins, Peoria has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Tuesday, Cactus got the win against Westview by a conclusive 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-13, 25-18.

Cactus can attribute much of their success to Faith Connell, who had nine digs and two aces.

Connell wasn't the only good servers: Cactus was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Meanwhile, Peoria came up short against Estrella Foothills on Monday, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-7, 25-6.

Peoria's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Cactus, their victory bumped their record up to 13-2.

Cactus took their win against Peoria in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Cobras have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
