Recap: Western Reserve Blue Devils vs. Lowellville Rockets
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Western Reserve Blue Devils can now relate to. They suffered a tough 32-7 loss at the hands of Lowellville on Friday. Western Reserve's defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
Luke Henning threw for 107 yards and a touchdown. Ethan Cannon was his top target, picking up 74 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Santino Rivera-ocasio had a dynamite game for Lowellville, rushing for 225 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 9.0 yards per carry. Michael Ballone was another key contributor, rushing for 113 yards on only 12 carries.
Western Reserve's defeat dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Lowellville, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-2.
Western Reserve does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Lowellville will take on Danville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Danville is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
