North never let their opponents score on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 16-0 margin over the Santa Maria Saints. The result was nothing new for the Stars, who have now won 11 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Kaylee Simkins tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched.

At the plate, North got a massive performance out of Bayleigh Wood, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-2. Wood is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Allison Jauregui, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.

North was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .688. The last time their batting average was this high was back in March of 2024.

North's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-3. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.3 runs over those games. As for Santa Maria, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Coming up, North is taking a road trip to challenge Arvin at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Santa Maria, they will take on Morro Bay at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
