Soccer Recap: Rutgers Prep Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

Rutgers Prep kept a clean sheet against Bernards on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Mountaineers. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Rutgers Prep's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey soccer rankings (they are ranked first, while Bernards are ranked 60th).

Rutgers Prep's win bumped their record up to 12-0. As for Bernards, their loss ended a four-match streak of away wins and brought them to 7-3-1.

Looking ahead, Rutgers Prep will face off against Newark Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bernards, they will head out to square off against Gill St. Bernard's at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
