Baseball Game Preview: Oxnard Yellowjackets vs. Pacifica Tritons

The Oxnard Yellowjackets will challenge the Pacifica Tritons at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Oxnard has given up an average of 9.8 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Oxnard is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight games on Friday. They came up short against Rio Mesa, falling 15-3.

Oxnard saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andre Synegal, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double. That double was Synegal's first of the season.

Meanwhile, Pacifica fell victim to Santa Paula and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They fell just short of the Cardinals by a score of 1-0. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Tritons' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Oxnard's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Pacifica, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.

Oxnard couldn't quite get it done against Pacifica in their previous meeting back in March of 2025 as they fell 5-0. Can the Yellowjackets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
