Alexander entered their tilt with United on Tuesday with 13 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 14. They put the hurt on the Longhorns with a sharp 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in August.

Alexander's got stronger as the match went on, holding United to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-15, 25-12.

Alexander got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Amari Randez out in front who had 18 assists and eight digs. Randez is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 14 or more in each of the last ten games she's played. Brianna Espinoza was another key player, getting ten digs and two assists.

Several Longhorns players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Anakaren Garcia, who had 21 digs and two assists. Another player making a difference was Victoria Luna, who had ten digs, eight kills, and one block.

Alexander's win bumped their record up to 23-4. As for United, they moved to 21-9 with that defeat, which also ended their six-match winning streak.

Coincidentally, Alexander and United will both be playing United South the next time they take the court. The Bulldogs will host the Panthers at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, while the Longhorns will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
