Basketball Game Preview: Mattawan Wildcats vs. Haslett Vikings

After both having extra time off, the Mattawan Wildcats and the Haslett Vikings will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Mattawan is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They skirted past Elkhart 58-56. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wildcats have posted since February 20th.

While Haslett didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They put the hurt on Fowlerville with a sharp 69-49 win two weeks ago. That 20 point margin sets a new team best for the Vikings this season.

Haslett's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-1. As for Mattawan, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-4.
