Volleyball Recap: Coffee County Central Red Raiders vs. Lawrence County Wildcats
Coffee County Central hadn't done well against Lawrence County recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Red Raiders sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Wildcats. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Red Raiders have posted against the Wildcats since September 8, 2015.
The victory didn't come easy: Lawrence County scored at least 11 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-22, 21-25, 20-25, 15-11.
Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaci Shultz, who had 26 assists and five digs. Shultz has been hot recently, having posted 14 or more assists the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Raegan Brazier, who had 15 digs and four assists.
