Basketball Recap: Lehighton Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Lehighton came into Saturday's matchup having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 69-58 victory over the Tamaqua Blue Raiders on Saturday. Given the Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 196th, while the Blue Raiders are ranked 426th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lehighton's win bumped their record up to 13-4. As for Tamaqua, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lehighton will square off against Palmerton at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Lehighton has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Tamaqua, they will challenge Blue Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tamaqua is facing Blue Mountain at the right time seeing as Blue Mountain is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
