Soccer Recap: Cox Mill Comes Up Short

If Cox Mill was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of South Iredell last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Chargers fell just short of the Mooresville Blue Devils by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Mooresville this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in March.

Cox Mill's loss dropped their record down to 7-6-2. As for Mooresville, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3-1 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cox Mill will challenge West Cabarrus at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cox Mill are facing West Cabarrus at the right time seeing as West Cabarrus are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Mooresville, they will face off against Hickory Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hickory Ridge will roll in looking for their 16th straight win, something Mooresville surely won't give up without a fight.
