Football Recap: Tohopekaliga Falls Despite Big Games from Sabby Meassick and AJ Wise + How To Watch

It was a proper cat-fight when Tohopekaliga took on Lake Nona on Friday. The contest between the Tigers and the Lions didn't end well, with the Tigers falling 30-13. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Despite the loss, Tohopekaliga had strong showings from AJ Wise, who picked up 184 receiving yards and one TD, and Sabby Meassick, who threw for 366 yards and a pair of touchdowns. The Tigers are 4-2 when Meassick posts 300 or more passing yards, but 0-3 otherwise. A healthy portion of Meassick's aerial production (82 yards to be exact) also went to Tre Punter.

Tohopekaliga now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Lake Nona, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tohopekaliga will face off against Avon Park at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Red Devils' defense has only allowed 14.2 points per game this season, so the Tigers' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Lake Nona, they will challenge Innovation at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Lions 14.8, the Bulls 7.8) so any points scored will be well earned.
