There's no place like home for Portland, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Franklin-Simpson Wildcats with a sharp 3-0 win on Monday. The Panthers not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since September 15th (when they won 3-0).

The victory got Portland back to even at 12-12. As for Franklin-Simpson, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-19-1.

Portland and Franklin-Simpson could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in their respective state rankings. The Panthers will face off against Gallatin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (156 vs. 39). Meanwhile, Franklin-Simpson (ranked 210th) will meet Logan County (ranked 70th) at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
