Baseball Recap: West Allis Central Takes a Loss

West Allis Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 11-10 heartbreaker at the hands of the Cudahy Packers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 10-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.

Alex Santiago was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-4 with four RBI and one run. Another player making a difference was Ethan Schroeder, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

West Allis Central's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Cudahy, their win ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Allis Central will challenge Dominican at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Knights have averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season. As for Cudahy, they will head out to square off against Milwaukee Lutheran at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
