Soccer Game Preview: Grenada vs. Independence

Grenada has gone a perfect 6-0 against Independence recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Chargers are taking a road trip to face off against the Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. One thing working in Grenada's favor is that they have posted at least four goals in their last four matchups.

On Thursday, Grenada got the win against Strayhorn by a conclusive 4-1. Pinson Jackson was a massive factor in the win as she booted in three goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Independence's offense. They came up short against Senatobia on Thursday, falling 3-0.

Grenada pushed their record up to 5-2-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those three contests. As for Independence, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Grenada took their win against Independence in their previous meeting last Tuesday by a conclusive 4-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Chargers since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
