Recap: Clyde Bulldogs vs. Brock Eagles
The Clyde Bulldogs and the Brock Eagles squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Clyde Bulldogs had to settle for second. They were dealt a 76-21 defeat at the hands of the Eagles. Clyde's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
When it comes to explaining why Clyde lost, one person who can't be blamed is Dai'jon Booker. Despite the final result, he picked up 126 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Booker was no stranger to the big play, connecting with a big catch that went for 60 yards.
It was another big night for Brody Woods, who rushed for 97 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries, and also threw for 251 yards and four touchdowns on only 17 passes for Brock. Carson Finney was in the mix as well, providing Brock with three touchdowns.
Brock's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. The heavy lifting was done by Cam Harris and Thomas Taylor who racked up four sacks between them.
Clyde's loss dropped their record down to 11-2. As for Brock, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-3.
Clyde does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Brock will head out on the road to face off against Paradise at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Paradise is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
