Softball Game Preview: Sedro-Woolley Cubs vs. Mount Vernon Bulldogs

Sedro-Woolley is on a 20-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Mount Vernon is on an eight-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Cubs will host the Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Sedro-Woolley's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last nine matchups.

Sedro-Woolley's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Burlington-Edison as they made off with a 12-0 win. Considering the Cubs have won 17 contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Mount Vernon earned a 9-6 victory over Nooksack Valley on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Pioneers: they've now won three in a row.

Mount Vernon's victory bumped their record up to 15-3. As for Sedro-Woolley, their win bumped their record up to 18-2.
