The Stephenville Yellow Jackets/Honeybees will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against the Ruston Bearcats at 2:00 p.m. One thing working in Stephenville's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.

Last Friday, Stephenville was able to grind out a solid victory over La Vega, taking the game 38-28. Given the Yellow Jackets/Honeybees' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 41st, while the Pirates are ranked 134th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Sawyer Wilkerson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 218 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.5 yards per carry. Caleb Taylor was another major factor on D, picking up a sack, making 13 total tackles, and defending a pass.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Stephenville was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 242 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 153 rushing yards in four consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Ruston put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Midland Legacy 38-6 at home. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 24-0.

Stephenville's win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0. As for Ruston, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.
