Baseball Recap: Plantation Takes a Loss

Thursday just wasn't the day for Plantation's offense. They lost 12-0 to the Piper Bengals on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Colonels of the 13-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Plantation dropped their record down to 2-5 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Piper, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Plantation will challenge Coral Glades at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Piper, they will square off against Boyd Anderson at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Piper's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last four contests.
