Recap: Highland Park Hornets vs. Farwell Steers
The Highland Park Hornets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their ninth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 98-10 loss at the hands of Farwell. Highland Park has not had much luck with the Steers recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Farwell to victory, but perhaps none more so than Isabella Jaime, who went 7 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 26 points and 2 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jaime has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Makylee Baldwin, who scored 22 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Highland Park's defeat was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-23. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 24.4 points per game. As for Farwell, the victory (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 27-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Highland Park will take on the Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
