Softball Game Preview: Kaufman Lions vs. Red Oak Hawks

The Kaufman Lions are taking a road trip to challenge the Red Oak Hawks at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Kaufman is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.

It was a proper cat-fight when Kaufman faced off against Midlothian on Friday. Kaufman lost 20-4 to Midlothian. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Izabella Garnica was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in February of 2024.

Meanwhile, Red Oak didn't have quite enough to beat Midlothian Heritage on Friday and fell 5-4. The Hawks have struggled against the Jaguars recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meetings.

The defeat was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 8-4-1. As for Kaufman, they now have a losing record of 5-6-2.
