 Coastal Academy is 0-4 against Escondido Charter since April of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Friday. The Coastal Academy Stingrays will head out on the road to  challenge  the Escondido Charter White Tigers at 4:00  p.m. Given that  both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this  game.
 Last Tuesday, Coastal Academy came up short against Vista  and fell  8-5.
 Coastal Academy got a good showing from  Bella Rush, who   tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits.

 Meanwhile,  Escondido Charter unfortunately witnessed the end of their  13-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of Mission Vista by a score of  4-2. Having soared to a lofty 15  runs in the game before, Escondido Charter couldn't push the score so high this time.
 Escondido Charter saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Charlotte Farmer, who  went 1-for-1 with  an  RBI.
 Coastal Academy's loss dropped their record down to 11-15. As for Escondido Charter, their defeat  ended  a  seven-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 20-5.
 Friday's   matchup will be a test for both team's pitchers. Coastal Academy hasn't had any issues making contact this season,  having earned a batting average of .322. However, it's not like Escondido Charter struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .348. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
 Coastal Academy might still be hurting after the  14-2 loss they got from Escondido Charter  in their previous meeting  back in April. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of  Escondido Charter's  Meghan Alspach, who   didn't allow a single  earned run over five innings pitched.
