Softball Recap: Colman-Egan Triumphs

Colman-Egan proved they can win big on Monday (they won by nine) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Garretson Blue Dragons 10-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the C-E Hawks have posted since April 20th.

Colman-Egan has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-13 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Garretson, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Colman-Egan beat Garretson by a score of 12-10 later that day.
