Football Game Preview: Oak Ridge Pioneers vs. Cypress Creek Bears + How To Watch

The Oak Ridge Pioneers will square off against the Cypress Creek Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Oak Ridge is likely headed into the game with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Freedom on Friday. The Pioneers fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 20-18. While the Pioneers had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Patriots 6-0.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Antonio Fields, who threw for 350 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also punched in one TD on the ground. Da'ron Newton Caster was Fields' top target, picking up 167 receiving yards.

Meanwhile, Cypress Creek fell victim to East River and their airtight defense on Friday. They took a blow against the Falcons, falling 37-0. The Bears haven't had much luck with the Falcons recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Cypress Creek's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Oak Ridge, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Oak Ridge took their victory against Cypress Creek in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 39-14 score. Do the Pioneers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bears turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
