Basketball Recap: Sterling Pritchett Key Part of Team Effort in Tigers Win

Tucker won the last time they faced Lithonia and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Tigers put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 84-58 win. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Tigers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 94th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 395th).

Tucker's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sterling Pritchett, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 15 assists. Pritchett is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last five games he's played. Adarian Johnson was another key player, shooting 62% from the field to rack up 20 points in addition to seven rebounds and three blocks.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Tucker was working as a unit and finished the game with 25 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

The win made it two in a row for Tucker and bumps their season record up to 9-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 81.0 points over those games. As for Lithonia, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.

Tucker wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 59-52 win against Marist on the 19th. As for Lithonia, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Carver at 7:00 p.m. on January 2, 2026.
