Softball Recap: Many Comes Up Short

Many dropped down to 20-13 on Monday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Buckeye Panthers, falling 10-0. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Tigers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

As for Buckeye, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 21-12. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 contests by eight runs or more this season.

For Buckeye's part, Alli Trammell tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. Trammell has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Sadie St. Pe was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Kenadee Jeansonne, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double.

Many does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Buckeye, they will challenge Opelousas Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
