Basketball Recap: Prairie Beats Waterloo West for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Prairie put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Waterloo West Wahawks by a score of 52-44. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Hawks also won the last time the pair played back in February.

Prairie's victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.5 points per game. As for Waterloo West, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-1 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Prairie will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Kennedy at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. One thing working in Kennedy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six contests. Waterloo West will also get a bit of a break before their next match: they'll face off against Dubuque Senior on January 3, 2025.
