Softball Recap: Palmetto Wins Going Away Against Easley

Palmetto's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They put the hurt on the Easley Green Wave with a sharp 8-2 win. The victory continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Green Wave: they've now won three in a row.

Anna Nelms spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on seven hits.

At the plate, Palmetto got a massive performance out of Ella Kate Fowler, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance gave Fowler a new career-high in runs. Another player making a difference was Carrigan Holbert, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI and two doubles.

The win got Palmetto back to even at 2-2.

Looking ahead, Palmetto will head out on the road to square off against Powdersville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Easley, they will face off against J.L. Mann at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
