Basketball Recap: Salecia Boots' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Pilot Station over Russian Mission

Pilot Station was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 40-35 heartbreaker at the hands of the Russian Mission Brown Bears. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Brown Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 72-37 two weeks ago.

Pilot Station's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Salecia Boots, who posted ten points. Another player making a difference was Jocelyn Polty, who earned eight points.

Pilot Station's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Russian Mission, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-2.

Pilot Station has already played their next match, a 47-43 defeat against Ignatius Beans on the 31st. As for Russian Mission, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 62-58 win against Emmonak on the 31st.
