Basketball Recap: Mattoon Takes a Loss

After soaring to 62 points the game before, Mattoon was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They took a blow against the Centralia Orphans, falling 69-29. The Greenwave haven't had much luck with the Orphans recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Mattoon's loss dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Centralia, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 21-1.

Mattoon wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 72-62 defeat against Teutopolis on the 24th. As for Centralia, they have also already played their next matchup, a 45-31 victory against Mt. Vernon on the 24th.
