Basketball Recap: Abilene Takes a Loss

If Abilene was riding high fresh off their 50-28 takedown of Northwest on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles took a 44-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fossil Ridge Panthers on Saturday. The matchup marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Abilene's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Fossil Ridge, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Abilene will head out to take on San Angelo Central at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fossil Ridge, they will square off against Frisco at 12:30 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Raccoons have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
