Baseball Recap: George West Takes a Loss

George West was the 17-7 winner over Cotulla when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The George West Longhorns fell just short of the Cotulla Cowboys by a score of 6-5 on Tuesday. The Longhorns have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jaxson Alaniz made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that he brought in this season.

George West's loss dropped their record down to 14-12-2. As for Cotulla, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-6-1.

Coming up, George West will challenge Aransas Pass at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The game will give Aransas Pass their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season. As for Cotulla, they will square off against Lytle at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will also be Lytle's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
