Basketball Recap: Southwind Comes Up Short

Southwind was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. The contest between them and the Rossville Christian Academy Wolves didn't end well, with the Southwind Jaguars falling 50-36.

Despite the loss, Southwind still got an impressive performance from Karlisa Mungen, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten boards. Mungen is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last nine games she's played. Another player making a difference was Ari'Elle Stinson, who posted nine points and five rebounds.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rossville Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Shaterrica Faulkner, who earned 13 points. Another player making a difference was Kimora Wooden, who put up 15 points.

Southwind's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Rossville Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 11-12.

Southwind didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 66-25 win against St. George's on the 28th. As for Rossville Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 45-40 victory against St. Benedict at Auburndale on the 28th.
