Softball Recap: Foothill Falcons vs. Chaparral Cowboys
Foothill put the finishing touches on their ninth blowout victory of the season on Friday. Everything went their way against the Chaparral Cowboys as the Foothill Falcons made off with a 9-1 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Foothill.
Isabella Higuera made a splash while hitting and pitching. She kept things locked down with no earned run or hits over four innings pitched. Higuera has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive pitching appearances. Higuera was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Hailey Gilbertson, who scored two runs and stole four bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Jessica Cadena was another key contributor, going 1-for-3 with a stolen base and an RBI.
