Softball Recap: Notre Dame Comes Up Short on the Road Against Chattanooga Central

Notre Dame had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They came up short against the Chattanooga Central Pounders on Thursday, falling 9-1. The Fighting Irish have struggled against the Pounders recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meetings.

The victory (which was Chattanooga Central's fifth in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 3-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Notre Dame will square off against Lookout Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Chattanooga Central, they will venture away from home to challenge Ooltewah at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
