Baseball Game Preview: Westmont Warriors vs. Branham Bruins

Westmont is 2-8 against Branham since April of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. Westmont will be playing in front of their home fans against Branham at 4:00 p.m.

Westmont is headed into Wednesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Monday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Los Altos. Warriors fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Eagles since on Monday.

Westmont saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Peyton Hines, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Branham, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-8 win over Santa Teresa on Friday.

Westmont's loss dropped their record down to 2-9-1. As for Branham, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.
