After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Rampart, Liberty was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Pine Creek Eagles, sneaking past 12-11. This was payback for the Lancers, who suffered a 1-0 loss the last time these two teams met.
David Jensen was incredible, scoring two runs while going 3-for-5. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in March. Landon Wolf was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3.
Liberty's victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Pine Creek, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-3.
Liberty will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Eagles: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
