Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Ivy Cavins and Carleigh Cameron Lead Liberty to Victory

Liberty hadn't done well against Kettle Run recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Liberty Eagles strolled past the Kettle Run Cougars with points to spare, taking the game 49-31. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 51-42 back in January.

Leading Liberty to victory were Carleigh Cameron and Ivy Cavins. Cameron went 5-for-9 on her way to 15 points and five rebounds, while Cavins posted 12 points and six boards. Cameron continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. Mckenzie Bell was another key player, putting up three points and three steals.

Liberty's win bumped their record up to 6-12. As for Kettle Run, their loss was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-19.

Liberty didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 73-27 defeat against Handley on the 17th. As for Kettle Run, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 47-19 loss against James Wood on the 14th.
