Westlake came tearing into Friday's game with eight straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the West Jordan Jaguars 3-0.

Westlake not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept West Jordan between 16 and 17 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-16, 25-17.

Westlake's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Talon Schank led the charge by getting five digs and two aces. That's the most aces Schank has posted over his last six contests.

Westlake's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-5. As for West Jordan, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-10.

Looking ahead, Westlake will venture away from home to face off against Pleasant Grove at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Jaguars will also cruise into their next match with the timing on their side: the Pirates will have lost seven straight heading into Tuesday's game.
