Paint Valley can finally bid farewell to their 12-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Thursday. They breezed by the Western Indians to the tune of 67-8. The Bearcats' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Paint Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sophia Stauffer, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine steals. The dominant performance gave Stauffer a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Karris Dye, who almost dropped a double-double on ten boards and nine steals.

Paint Valley was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Paint Valley's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-9. As for Western, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Paint Valley will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Lynchburg-Clay at 6:45 p.m. on December 30th. Western and Glenwood will compete for holiday cheer at 6:15 p.m. on Monday.
