Basketball Recap: Montgomery Central Comes Up Short

Montgomery Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 81-56 to the Sycamore War Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the War Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 49-38 last Tuesday.

Sycamore's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Carter Wallace, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and 11 boards. The dominant performance gave Wallace a new career-high in rebounds. Another player making a difference was Lucas Morris, who went 7-for-11 en route to 15 points and five assists.

Montgomery Central's loss dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Sycamore, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.

Montgomery Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 38-37 defeat against Jo Byrns on the 11th. As for Sycamore, they have also already played their next game, a 66-55 loss against Liberty Creek on the 11th.
