Football Recap: Carrollton Wins High-Profile Contest Against Parker + How To Watch

Carrollton is ranked highly in their home state and on Friday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Parker. The Trojans took their contest with ease, bagging a 43-7 win over the Thundering Herd. 43 seems to be a good number for the Trojans as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Carrollton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Peyton Zachary, who picked up 127 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. Those 127 receiving yards gave Zachary a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Wood, who gained 120 total yards and two touchdowns.

Special teams also played a big role in the game for Carrollton, adding 13 points to the final score. All those points came courtesy of Landon Vargas-Jasso: he added nine points with three field goals and another four kicking extra points.

Parker's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chancellor Sparks, who rushed for 98 yards on only six carries.

The win keeps Carrollton at an undefeated 6-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 12.8 points on average this season. As for Parker, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Carrollton will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Westlake at 7:30 p.m. on October 3. This will be the Trojans' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Parker, they will challenge Hoover at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
