Recap: Ash Fork Spartans vs. Kingman Bulldogs
After flying high against the Ray Bearcats last Saturday, the Ash Fork Spartans came back down to earth. Ash Fork took a 45-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of Kingman on Wednesday. Ash Fork was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Kingman apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
When it comes to explaining why Ash Fork lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jamie Keele. Despite the final result, she scored 12 points along with 8 rebounds. Keele continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Gracie Staples, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 15 rebounds.
Ash Fork's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Kingman, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ash Fork is on the road again on Tuesday and play against St. Michael at 5:30 p.m. on December 12th. As for Kingman, they will challenge Odyssey Institute at 5:30 p.m. on December 14th.
