Game recap: Oakdale High School Football Team wins against Weston Ranch

OAKDALE, Calif. - Marcus Northcutt ran for two touchdowns and Nikk Ryan added two as well as Oakdale (Calif.) beat Weston Ranch (Stockton, Calif.) 54-0 on Saturday.

After taking the lead on a touchdown pass by Spencer Thomas to Ryan in the first quarter, the Mustangs led 47-0 at the half.

Oakdale expanded its lead to 54 points entering the fourth quarter. OHS's lone score in the quarter came on a Joshua Watts touchdown run.

With the win the Mustangs extended their winning streak to six games. Oakdale defeated the Lancers 54-6 last week.

OHS's standout player in the win was Ryan. The senior caught one touchdown.

The Mustangs had given up an average of 11.7 points prior to the contest. The Cougars' zero points were well below their season average of 7.1 per game.



Oakdale also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 51-14.

The defeat comes as a step back for Weston Ranch, which notched a 15-6 victory over Lathrop in its previous outing. The loss snapped Weston Ranch's 2-game winning streak.

Oakdale (7-1) will play a Valley Oak game against Manteca next week, while Weston Ranch (4-4) will take on Kimball also in a Valley Oak game.
